Portraits from the Past

My mission is to produce exceptional portraits for the “Now” that will become cherished memories of the “Past”.  This statement is the body of why I love portrait photography.  You can imagine my excitement when my husbands grandmother (Norma) found an old photo her relatives in front of their homestead.  The picture has so much meaning because the log cabin in the portrait is still standing directly behind my husbands mom & dad’s home today.  In fact, the log cabins front porch roof is the roof now used for the breeze way between their house and the cabin!  The photo was in pretty good condition, but had faded and lost some detail.  I scanned the photo, brought out some of the detail and returned the photo to a black and white.

Take a look below:  Original Old Photo, Retouched Old Photo, and a Portrait of my in-laws house today with the cabin in the back.
