With so many consumers turning to the web to find products and service there has been a huge push to personalize your website and marketing material. More and more companies are adding pictures of their employees to business cards and websites. However, many of the pictures I see are below average at best. A great website can be ruined by terrible photography! I encourage any business owner who is considering using employee portraits on their website to hire a professional to take your business professional portraits. Business head shots should compliment the style of your website and overall marketing plan.
Depending on the number of employees, a business professional head shot session can take 30 minutes or a couple of hours. Business Portraits don’t have to drain your marketing budget either. For a business where I will be shooting 10-20 employees a reduced rate is available, contact me for specific rates. I bring my equipment to your office, so you don’t have to worry about your employees scheduling a time to come to a studio. I will also send an email about appropriate attire for business professional portraits. Employees will hate the idea, but by the end of it everyone ends up having a great time…I promise! Some of the most negative people walk out laughing and having a good ol’ time! Oh and they look great in the pictures too!
Here are some examples of business head shots that I did for a company recently.

When mamaw wants pictures of her grandkids you don’t say no! This year when we traveled to southern Indiana for Christmas my mom asked that I bring my camera to get portraits of all the grandkids. Talk about a photo challenge…5 grandkids ages 5 and under. Just getting them all dressed and faces cleaned was difficult. Although we had several photo fails we have many great pictures too. Take a look at the entire Christmas portrait session.

My mission is to produce exceptional portraits for the “Now” that will become cherished memories of the “Past”. This statement is the body of why I love portrait photography. You can imagine my excitement when my husbands grandmother (Norma) found an old photo her relatives in front of their homestead. The picture has so much meaning because the log cabin in the portrait is still standing directly behind my husbands mom & dad’s home today. In fact, the log cabins front porch roof is the roof now used for the breeze way between their house and the cabin! The photo was in pretty good condition, but had faded and lost some detail. I scanned the photo, brought out some of the detail and returned the photo to a black and white.
Take a look below: Original Old Photo, Retouched Old Photo, and a Portrait of my in-laws house today with the cabin in the back.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree…Get into the holiday spirit with a family portrait session at a Christmas tree farm. I’m not the only one who thinks this is a fantastic idea. The Galbraith Family portrait was featured on Shutterfly in an article about great ideas for family portraits.
Just 6 weeks ago I was shooting little Blake’s newborn portraits; now look how big he is!
A combination of good weather, a huge bag of dog treats, and a happy baby resulted in these beautiful holiday family portraits. Thanks Madison for allowing me to photograph so many of your recent life events. I hope you enjoy your first family pictures! This was probably the smoothest newborn photo shoot I have ever done! Little Hudson came into this world about a week early; what a wonderful Christmas gift. This little peanut was an angel for his first portrait session; mom and dad were so proud. We were able to get a ton of variety with Hudson…I was even able to sneak my sons Radio Flyer wagon out and use it for the first time in a photo session! LOVE IT! I also captured some beautiful lifestyle family portraits with mom and dad. I hope you enjoy the images as much as I do…these are some of my favorites.
