I started my fall portrait sessions off with a family that is sooo much fun. This is the second time I have had the privilege to work with the Percy family and they came ready to go 🙂 Their fall pictures turned out beautifully and we were even to get lots of individual breakdowns. OH and Mykaela can’t wait for senior pictures :)…should we book 3 years in advance. Take a look at the session that kicked off a gorgeous day of shooting.

I will be in Foster Park October 26th shooting fall portraits. I will be scheduling 30 minute sessions starting at 1:00. There are a limited number of appointments so be sure to call or email to book reserve your spot. $50 will be due the day of your portraits. This $50 will be applied to your print order. Our impromptu family portrait session turned out absolutely beautiful. To be honest with you, I was having a rather challenging day dealing with my 2 year old that thinks he runs the house and the photo session was just what I needed. I’m not sure if it was the running back and forth to set the timer and jump in the photo that relieved my stress or how great the photos turned out 🙂 Either way I was in a much better mood after the photo session. I love when something unplanned comes together so well. We were also able to capture some excellent portraits of the kiddos. Each of their personalities show through in these pictures so perfectly! A Horse and His Owner…

The love between a horse and his owner is like no other. My aunt Sue, whom I speak of on my “About” page, has asked me to shoot photos for her on two different occasions. Both times I have been flattered, nervous, and excited all at the same time. I mean who wouldn’t be…she is the professional photographer that has been taking my pictures since I was a baby! Sue asked me to shoot her daughters wedding several years ago and most recently pictures of her and her horse Max. Max is 30 years old and showing signs of age. Sue wanted to make sure she had a portrait of the two of them to remember all the special moments that they have shared over the years.
We started in the early morning hours just as the light was peeking over the trees. Max had a minor hair crisis that morning that was quickly fixed with a straightener :)…yes Sue straightened Max’s bangs. The day was beautiful and beautiful pictures were sure to result! Although our session got cut short we were able to get some beautiful portraits of Max and Sue! I love you Sue and I look forward to finishing up our session.

Baby Blake’s Newborn Session

What a little chunk, I just want to squeeze his cheeks! Can you believe this handsome baby boy started out in the NICU. After some coxing from mom and a nice long feeding he was ready for his first photo shoot. I love it when I can use personal family items to make the shoot even more meaningful. Baby Blake’s family are horse people so Madison brought the saddle, cowboy hat, and boots that were a perfect touch. The saddle pictures are probably some of favorite newborn pictures I have ever shot!…Madison…I might have to buy a saddle just to keep for a prop lol! View Blake’s entire newborn photo shoot here.
