This family holds a special place in my heart…we not only have become great friends, but they have been influential in helping my husband & I grow in our faith.  There aren’t too many couples that I can say we “do life” together, but this is one of them!  Kelli was in need of some family pictures for Christmas cards and some updated shots of baby Reid.   Yea, I know he isn’t a baby anymore, but Reid will forever be known as “Baby Reid” in our household.  Even though getting his portrait taken was not at the top of Reid’s list of things to do Saturday morning, the pictures turned out great! Follow this link to see the entire outdoor family portrait session.

Tis the season for senior portraits.  Fall is one of the most popular times to shoot senior portraits because of the mild temperatures and of course the beautiful color.   I had the pleasure of photographing Molly for Columbia City High School senior volleyball banners back in August.  I was lucky enough to have her mom reach out to me for a senior portrait session.  I shot Molly’s senior portraits this past weekend at Swinney Park in Fort Wayne, In.  A recent rain storm and some strong winds took a lot of the areas color from the trees to the ground, but Swinney still had some excellent color.  I had several new poses I wanted to try and Molly was a perfect test subject :).  Check out Molly’s entire senior portrait session here.

Fall color was in full swing 2 weekends ago and the weather was perfectly mild with a chance of rain of course.  I had outdoor senior portraits scheduled right about the time a storm was going to move through our area.  We bumped the pictures up by 30 minutes and that was all we needed.  You would never guess we were trying to beat an eminent downpour by looking at these senior pictures.  Mackenzie and her family were champs the entire time!

We started out back in the woods and captured some of my favorite fall, woodsy senior pictures!  90% of the successful shots were due to my beautiful model, Mackenzie…and 10% was the gorgeous surroundings 🙂  We then moved to the barn and photographed tons of fun and beautiful shots.  No sooner than we walked in the door to my home studio the rain unleashed!  We couldn’t have cut it any closer.  We finished up inside with some natural light and studio portraits that tuned out great too.  Thank You Mackenzie and family for being so flexible and allowing me to photograph your senior pictures; I hope you fall in love with them as much as I did 🙂  Follow this link to view the entire outdoor senior portrait session.

Earlier in the year I had the opportunity to photograph Laurisa for a senior volleyball sports banner, which resulted in a session for senior pictures.  It is senior photo sessions like Laurisa’s that reinforce my love for taking portraits.

We had a beautiful day to shoot these fall senior portraits and Laurisa was amazing to photograph.  I can’t forget Laurisa’s mom…she was fantastic helping fluff hair, haul props, and fix clothing.  I love having an extra hand and eye when I’m shooting!   We took these portraits at Foster Park in Fort Wayne, In.  Even though the park was crawling with photographers, we were able to capture some great, unique shots.  Laurisa is just as beautiful inside as she is outside and it was an honor to be the photographer to capture her senior portraits.

What a perfect time of the year to photograph in an apple orchard.  We chose Cook’s Apple Orchard in Fort Wayne, IN for the location of Madison’s family portrait shoot.  I had visited this orchard during a field trip with my son’s class and the owner was very welcoming and the orchard was beautiful.

Madison has been one of my most loyal clients!  This loyalty has allowed me to watch little Blake grow from a newborn into a toddling 13 month old!  Oh, and I can’t forget about Charlie (the dog), he grows fonder of me every time we do portraits:)  These  family orchard pictures are absolutely stunning!  You can almost smell the crisp fall air when looking at the pictures.  I also love their outfit choice, the hints of red in Blake’s vest are complimented perfectly by the apples.  My Radio Flyer was even able to make an appearance in Blake’s individual portraits.  Here are just a couple beautiful pictures, to view the entire session click here.
